Information we may hold on you
From time to time, we may receive basic contact details from you, such as your name, address and postcode, telephone number(s) and e-mail address. We may receive similar information from you in respect of other members of Girlguiding UK, in connection with the placement of insurance cover under some of our products.
What we do with this information
Information, which we may receive about you (including information you submit regarding your members) may be stored on a secure web server and may also be transferred to hard copy within the offices of Unity Insurance Services. In both cases, suitable steps are taken to safeguard against unauthorised access to personal information.
Whilst Unity Insurance Services will not share or sell your personal information for commercial purposes, we may share it with certain third parties in order to fulfill our obligations under any contract of insurance entered into with you. For example, we might pass on your contact details to an underwriter or loss adjustor, in order to assist you with the settlement of a claim.
Where information is passed to a third party in this way, Unity Insurance Services will ensure that the information will be held and used by them solely to meet our joint responsibility to you under a contract of insurance and for no other purpose.
